This research was intended to identify factors related to the leather craftsmen’s self sufficiency in the districts of Sidoarjo and Magetan, in East Java. A descriptive survey research was accomplished amongst 260 craftsmen in the two districts in April 2005 through February 2006. The collected data were analyzed by using the Descriptive Statistics, the One Way Anova and the Structural Equation Modeling procedures. The findings pointed out that most of the observed craftsmen’s entrepreneurial as well as their self-sufficiency behaviors were low. Furthermore, their self-sufficiency behaviors were related to their personal characteristics, business supports, and business environment

The aim of this research is to formulate a theoretical model that explains causal links among supply chain drivers and operational performance by adding several SCM variables, namely strategy, practices and responsiveness into the links and empirically tests the model on organic fertilizer manufacturers in East Java, Indonesia. Provincial sample data that consist of 85 companies are analyzed using SEM by component-based approach, which is Generalized Structured Component Analysis (GSCA). The result shows that internal drivers only have weak influence to the operational performance and environmental drivers do not influence it. Furthermore, SCM practice do not influence the operational performance. Nevertheless, the relationships between other variables hypothesized are found positively and significantly influence the operational performance. In order to compete in supply chain level, companies have to adopt the right SCM strategy and also build supply chain responsiveness. Both have important role as intervening variables to strengthen the weak or insignificant relationships. This research implication might limited for the types of industry in which the Government plays big role as one of the environmental drivers. The organic fertilizer industry has to compete with chemical fertilizer products which have won the customer’s loyalty; and therefore the organic fertilizer manufacturers have to change their SCM strategy to become more responsive to the customers’ needs and requirements, also internally improving innovation aspect, particularly product innovation. The integration drivers are not directly related to performance, but rather have to be through SCM practices. Likewise, the SCM practices are not directly related to performance, but rather have to be through responsiveness. These research findings strengthen the strategic supply chain theory and the supply chain responsiveness theory. Keywords: supply chain drivers, SCM strategy, SCM practices, responsiveness, operational performance, organic fertilizer manufacturers

This study aims to explain the influence of Relative Advantage, Compatibility, Organizational Readiness, Management Support and External Pressure on the Use of E-Commerce. In accordance with the purpose of research, this study used a kind of explanatory Research. The study population was  star hotels in Bali Indonesia, which already apply the technology of E-Commerce at least one year. Samples were taken using proportionate stratified random sampling. Data were collected using questionnaires, then analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with a method of Partial Least Square (PLS). The analysis showed that all variables have positive effect on the use of E-Commerce, but the results of t-test showed that only four variables (Relative Advantage, Organizational Readiness, Management Support and External Pressure) which have a significant effect. While the effect of Compatibility was not statistically significant. As a theoretical implications, future researchers should carefully consider 1) the longitudinal approach in data collection research, 2) using more than one respondent as key informants representing the leaders and members in each company was chosen as the unit of analysis. As a practical implication, the hotel needs to consider the readiness in the implementation of E-Commerce. One of the employees required to have optimal performance is an employee within the scope of a health service organization. There are indications of problems in the performance of non-medical health workers at Aliyah General Hospital, Kendari City, Southeast Sulawesi. Researchers built the perception that their low performance could be influenced by perceived organizational support, work environment, reward, punishment, or job satisfaction. The study was conducted at Aliyah General Hospital (1, 2, and 3) in Kendari City, Southeast Sulawesi. This study used a quantitative approach with 157 respondents. Data analysis used Partial Least Square-Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) with the help of SmartPLS 3 software. The results showed that perceived organizational support did not significantly affect employee performance and job satisfaction. In contrast, the work environment significantly affected employee performance and job satisfaction. Job satisfaction has a significant effect on employee performance. Job satisfaction cannot mediate perceived organizational support on employee performance; on the contrary, it has a mediating effect on the work environment on performance.
